The Olympic Torch is arriving in Newcastle on Friday 15th June during rush hour, and there will be temporary road closures in place, including lane restrictions on the Tyne Bridge, to make sure it gets through the city safely, so there will be congestion around the city centre.

Please allow extra time for your journey to visit the Mill Volvo Tyne Theatre for the Essence of Ireland show. Alternatively take a local bus or Metro service to either St James Park or the Central Station and the Mill Volvo Tyne Theatre is approximately 2-3 minutes walk away.
