On Friday 21st September, the Mill Volvo Tyne Theatre is hugely proud to welcome Sarah Millican, Jo Brand and Guests in aid of the Tyneside Rape Crisis Centre.

Tyneside Rape Crisis Centre (TRCC) provides information, support and counseling to women who have experienced sexual violence at any time during their lives.

TRCC’s services are open to all women who are 16 years old and over and who live in Tyneside or Northumberland. 

Feedback from women who use TRCC:

“I was taken seriously.  She didn’t recoil from me.  She listened to all the bad stuff and contained it for me.  Afterwards she sat with me as I cried and she didn’t stop me.  She didn’t interrupt me and when I looked at her I knew she really cared about me.”

“I wish there was more funding so that everyone who needs this can access it as quickly as I was lucky enough to.”

When visiting TRCC earlier this year Jo Brand stated:

We are extremely pleased to have Sarah Millican return to our stage after a phenomenally successful run of shows this year, aswell as welcoming Jo Brand for the very first time.
